FAQ
--------------------- ✄---------------------

What is this group based off?
As the name suggests, Oumazoo is based off of the manga Ōmagadoki Dōbutsuen.

What are some differences between Oumazoo and the manga?
In order to make OD work as an RP group, the following changes are made:
      • Oumazoo takes place in an AU world (think of it as a parallel to modern-day Japan) • There are no"normal humans" who play important roles in Oumazoo. • Animals do not need a trigger (such as Shiina's smoke in OD) to transform into their gjinka forms after being added to their faction for RP purposes. However, keep in mind that animals will not be in their human forms at park hours or if they wander too far away from their faction leaders. • Aquatic animals only belong to the Ushimitsudoki Aquarium; some animals have been moved/omitted/added • Unlike the animals in Ōmagadoki Dōbutsuen, Oumazoo gijinkas can be mostly human (rather than 30 - 40% human) • Limit of 25 animals in one faction + 1 director as of June

How can I join this group?
Oumazoo will have a private opening first and open to the public at a later date.

Is it easier to apply for one faction than another?
Yes, and no. We look for the same quality for every faction, and no one faction has a lower "requirement" persay than another. However, if there were a flood of applications for one faction and very few for another, it would be easier to be admitted to the latter faction because we would like to even out the numbers.

Can I pick any animal I want?
You may only pick from the list of animals appropriate to the faction that you would like to join. The only exception to this is when you are already in the group and purchase a "Fancy Stationary" from the Department Store to create your secondary character. If you do this, you are free to pick your own animal and have it approved by the group.

Does my design have to pertain to the animal I picked?
Yes, it does. For example, if your animal were the brown bear, it would be appropriate to design a character with brown hair rather than green. The only characters who should have colorful hair would be the birds and the fish. This may be bypassed if your character is part of the Yatsudoki Circus (because of dyed animal fur in circuses), but this should be only a few rare cases. Make sure to talk to the group if you are thinking about it!

How do I fill out the "job" section of the bio info?
As stated before, keep in mind that the animals should stay in their original forms during park hours, and the "job" section mostly pertain to animals of the circus with their circus acts (for example, jumping through fire hoops, etc). With that said, the Job section for all three factions should be during park hours, so it shouldn't be a "human" job like waiter or shop keeper. The only exception to this is if you incorporate how the animals can carry out their jobs in their animal forms. For example, you can say that there's a cafe in the Aquarium, and the sea turtle carries the tray on its back to the customers as an attraction for the waiter job.

My question is not answered!
Please post your question on the front page, note the group, or talk to leihsa personally if you are still confused!

Sorry to bother you but a few more questions
1. do the animals joining always have the ablilty to become humans or do they gain this after joining the zoo/circus?
2. it's probably too early to ask, but when using the faction leaders (in my case the circus one) do we use them like we would in a RP (not using dialog) or would we act like they were own characters? (following the app's guidelines of course)

Im just stuck on my bio and wanna be proper on doing this
thank you very much
